What file types does Sunao support?
Sunao reads PDFs, EPUBs, DOCX (Word documents), TXT files, scanned pages and photos of text, web articles via URL, and any text you paste in directly.
How natural do Sunao's AI voices sound?
Sunao includes a curated set of natural-sounding AI voices designed for long-form listening. We chose a small number of high-quality voices instead of offering hundreds of novelty options.
Can Sunao read scanned pages and handwritten notes?
Yes. Sunao uses on-device OCR (optical character recognition) to turn printed pages, photos, and clearly written handwritten notes into clean, listenable text.
Does Sunao work on iPad?
Yes. Sunao is built for iPhone and iPad. One purchase covers both devices on the same Apple ID.
Can Sunao read EPUBs from my Kindle or Apple Books library?
No. DRM-protected files from stores like Kindle or Apple Books can't be imported into any third-party reader, including Sunao. Personal EPUBs, PDFs, and Word documents from any other source work fully.
Is Sunao good for people with dyslexia, ADHD, or low vision?
